The Story so far.
The journey to this point has spanned 46 years, beginning in 1980 at the Avalon TV studios in Wellington, Zealand.
Throughout this time, a wealth of knowledge has been accumulated, fueled by a long-standing passion for creating quality television and in all facets of media. Starting as a junior videotape editor at TVNZ studios in Avalon my career evolved through diverse genres, including news current affairs, games shows and large-scale live sports productions.
In 1997, I transitioned to TVNZ in Auckland, joining the sports department as an editor and then a director / producer. Shortly after, I successfully pitched a weekly motorsport show that ran on air for 13 years, garnering multiple awards, including Qantas Film and Awards for Best LIVE Sports Production.
In 2009, I left TVNZ to form Perspective Group Ltd, aiming to showcase my talents and build a diverse client base while maintaining strong business values. Over the years, I have become a sought-after Producer and Director for the Asian Broadcasting Union, representing them at Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, as well as serving in various key roles at the Olympics for OBS and America's events for the Host Broadcast operation.
Additionally, I have engaged with TVNZ, Media Works, and Sky Sports NZ, taking on lead roles in various productions they have undertaken or provided to them.
My commitment for giving back has come in the form of serving as a Trustee of the Motorsport New Zealand Scholarship Trust for 17 years, supporting young driver development both in NZ and off shore.
Perspective Group Ltd has become the official production company for numerous events, including the V8 Super Tourers NZ series ,the World Master Games Auckland 2017, a feast of local Speedway production. to name just some. More recently known as a documentary production company, with the current three editions of Kiwis - Born to Fly screening on networks and airlines around the world.
This journey is just the start, there is much more to come.
